RadioOpt is a spinoff of the Vodafone Chair / 5G Innovation Lab at the Technische UniversitĂ¤t Dresden. The chairâ€™s current focus lies on wireless protocol stack research, with a special emphasis on wireless radio network problems (wireless networks capacity), wireless modems, RF imperfections, and computing architectures for wireless signal and protocol processing.
Crowd sourced mobile customer experience measurement
RadioOpt is 2016 the leading specialist for crowd-sourced mobile customer experience measurement. Data is crowd-sourced by users of the Traffic-Monitor application, downloaded over 3 million times, which constantly monitors the coverage and performance of their mobile connection.
In addition, RadioOpt empowers millions of customers via operator branded applications, collecting and computing more than 70 billion data records each month.
RadioOptÂ´s solution is fully audited under German data privacy law and named the gold standard for data privacy by clients. RadioOpt uses this data to help network operators to understand the experienced quality of mobile networks, by offering unbiased coverage maps and empowering company departments with the information and tools they need to serve their customers better. Since 2008 the company develops innovative, tailor-made enterprise software solutions for quality measurements in mobile and Wi-Fi Communication Networks.
RadioOptâ€™s apps are measuring the network quality in more than 200 countries and 700 networks worldwide.
Use case: Network planning is the initial stage of a network or new technology deployment. The overall goal in any wireless system is to maximize coverage and capacity while fulfilling the agreed quality of service targets. The increasing adoption of smartphones in the market and, consequently, traffic growth require mobile operators to further invest in the network; hereby, the planning phase is crucial to focus and optimize such investment.
Bridging the Support Information Gap
Customer support is challenged to deliver superior customer care at reduced costs â€” shortening the amount of time, effort and expertise required to diagnose and resolve each customerâ€™s problems. With current customer care systems, few facts are known about a customerâ€™s actual experience other than what is determined from lengthy discussions with each unhappy customer.
